Local
police are investigating several thefts and other incidents over the past
several days and are asking for the public's help in solving the crimes.
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 4900 block of Bell Avenue between midnight and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 7 and stole about $700 worth of property. Items taken include a GPS, cell phone and digital camera.
About 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8, three white males in their late teens damaged a window on Baker Drive with a BB gun.
About 8:30 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Dollar General store on Mt. Tabor Court, a victim had left her purse unattended on a shelf for less than a minute when someone stole her billfold, which contained credit cards and a driver's license.
On Oct. 9, between 3 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., thieves forced open a window on Zelkova Drive to gain entry into a car. They took speakers and an amplifier, all valued at about $800.
On Oct. 8 or 9, in the 900 block of Thornhill Drive, someone stole $600 worth of items from a car. Taken were a Garmin GPS, an iPod Nano and a DVD player.
