Bank branch robbed
A Cincinnati Reds fan robbed the east branch of Commonwealth Bank & Trust Thursday morning, fleeing on foot into the subdivision behind the bank.
Approximately 9 a.m., Shelbyville police responded to the robbery call, searching for a black male, about 6 feet tall, wearing black clothes and a black Cincinnati Reds cap and Reds tennis shoes.
He presented a note and took off with an undetermined amount of money, Police said. No weapon was displayed in the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to call Shelbyville/Shelby County Crimestoppers at 633-4400, or the Shelbyville Police Department, 633-2326.

Graduation set
Shelby County High School graduation will be 7 p.m. June 12 at the Frankfort Civic Center, according to Principal Eddie Oakley. The decision was based on input from students and parents, after an amended school calendar set the last day of school for students as June 8 and an alternative graduation date had to be scheduled. The annual Project Graduation event will take place at SCHS after the commencement program.

Meredith is coordinator of the Shelby County Backpack Project Inc., which feeds hundreds of children every weekend who would probably otherwise go hungry.

Creamer named to KHSAA Hall of Fame

When it was time to settle down somewhere a little more permanent, he again looked toward Shelby County; it has been his home since 1992.

From the 'back barn' to the show ring

It has been a long time and a lot of good horses since Mike Spencer started grooming in the "back barn" for legendary saddlebred trainers Charles and Helen Crabtree. Barely a teenager, Spencer went to work as a groom for the Crabtrees. He was assigned to work in the barn in the back of the property.
